Lipkin, Marshall, Bohorad & Thornburg, P.C., obtains its' title work from Schuylkill Abstract Company, Inc., a Pennsylvania Corporation incorporated in 1972. Schuylkill Abstract is presently title agents for Old Republic National Title Insurance Company, and Stewart Title Guaranty Company.
Schuylkill Abstract is the oldest title insurance agency and abstract company in Schuylkill County.
The title examiners of Schuylkill Abstract are Catherine Runkle with 18 years experience, and Christine Skibiel with 24 years experience.
The office personnel consists of Janet I. Rodnick, General Manager, with 34 years real estate and title insurance experience, and Melissa Rose, as secretary/receptionist.
Schuylkill Abstract carries Error & Omissions Insurance with policy limits of $1,000,000. Schuylkill Abstract also carries a Surety Bond and a Fidelity Bond.
Schuylkill Abstract has legal counsel on retainer to advise as to complex title issues which arise from time to time.
During the calendar year 2017, Schuylkill Abstract issued approximately 200 title insurance policies, and conducted many additional title searches and settlements for which title insurance policies were not issued.
The two largest title insurance projects handled in 2017 were in the amounts of $2,900,000 and $832,000.
