About Us

Our Founders

The firm was founded in 1950 by three native Schuylkill County lawyers, Henry Houck of Shenandoah, James P. Bohorad of Mahanoy City, and Alexander E. Lipkin of Frackville and Pottsville.  Judge Houck had been a county judge and was the first of several attorneys who practiced with the firm and who also served prominently in law enforcement or on the judiciary, namely, former District Attorneys Richard Russell and Claude A. L. Shields, and the late 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals Judge William D. Hutchinson.

Our Commitment

As Schuylkill County continues to grow and prosper, the law firm of Marshall, Bohorad, Thornburg, Price & Campion, P.C. looks forward to taking an active part.

The firm represents individuals as well as large and small businesses and corporations, covering a wide spectrum of the county, including hospitals and physicians, local governments and school districts, the textile, banking, coal and construction industries and title insurance agencies.  The Employment and Labor Relations Law Division represents employees and employers in employment related matters, including litigation and arbitration, unemployment compensation, workers harassment, ADA, FMLA, WARN, ERISA, EEOC, Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, wage and hour issues and counseling and planning in general human resource matters, such as employee handbooks and employment practices and procedures.

The Estate and Probate Division provides full-service estate planning, beginning with the preparation of wills, living wills, trusts and powers-of-attorney, through the probate and administration of estates and trusts.  In addition, the firm focuses on the needs of senior citizens by rendering advice on matters such as death tax savings, Medicaid, protecting and preserving assets from nursing home costs, and other programs available to the elderly.
